For me, Aloha has always been more than just a business. It’s where I worked while I was in college, where I met so many amazing people, and where 20 years ago, I met my future husband, the father of my children and now my business partner. I never could have imagined where those doors would lead me.

Fast forward 18 years, and Aloha Tan went up for sale. I jokingly sent my husband a message, and six months later, we owned the place.

From the beginning, we knew our vision for Aloha was about more than tanning. I wanted to create a space where women and men, young and old, from all walks of life could feel comfortable, safe, accepted, and beautiful.

As a mom of four girls, I see the pressures they face every day. And as I turned 40 this year, I found myself thinking about those same pressures in a different way. We live in a world where social media can make us feel like we constantly have to look a certain way or fit a certain idea of beauty.

That’s why The Collective means so much to me. We created a space where like-minded people can come together without judgment, support one another, and genuinely feel their best.

At its core, that’s what Aloha is about: community, confidence, and feeling good about who you are.
